Surfing Safari

Cape Town never ceases to amaze me, and I am truly grateful for every day that I get to live in this beautiful city. Last weekend myself and friends literally went on a surf safari, deep into the peninsula. And despite the horrid weather, here's what we were fortunate enough to find:

Sundowners

I haven't posted in a while, which I apologise for but I'm going to try make up for it by posting a lot more in October. I was shooting some surfing at Long Beach, Kommetjie on Friday eve and there was the most beautiful sunset. These are some of my favourite sunset shots. Will post the surfing ones another time. Enjoy.

A Panoramic Weekend (Part 2)

I had so many great panoramic shots from this last beautiful weekend in Cape Town that I decided to split the pics over two posts. These one's are of Long Beach, Kommetjie, Glen Beach, Camps Bay, Big Bay and the scenic drive from Llandudno to Camps Bay. For the Part 1 shots of Chapmans Peak and Oudekraal click here.

A Panoramic Weekend (Part 1)

Cape Town has been blessed with the most amazing weather this winter. This weekend was no exception. I was out and about and decided to take a bunch of panoramic shots of this beautiful city I get to call home. Most of these are taken from Chapmans Peak looking back at Hout Bay but there are a few from Oudekraal as well. Part 2 will have shots from Long Beach in Kommetjie and Big Bay in Bloubergstrand.

Part 2 coming tomorrow.

Dassiesfontein

If you haven't already visited this little gem of a 'farmstall' on the N2 between Botrivier and Caledon, not far from Cape Town, make a day of it. It's like a treasure hunt; the walls and ceilings are lined with all sorts of things: there are clothes, wine, cheeses, furniture, trinkets, wire hearts, decorative pieces, coffee mugs, kitchen stuff, clocks, mirrors, tiles, toys, antiques and so much more. Visit their website here.
