I made my annual July trip to Jeffreys Bay to shoot the Jeffreys Bay Open of Surfing (the event which has now replaced the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay). It was such a great event with top quality surfing and great supporter turnout. Here is a collection of highlights from the event. More to follow so check back soon.

West Coast Boardriders Event 4

On Saturday I shot the West Coast Boardriders event, held at Big Bay. It was the most stunning day at the beach and I really enjoyed shooting this contest. I witnessed some spectacular surfing go down; in fact, the event turned into a bit of an airshow. Here are some of my favourite shots from the day. Surfing South African Women's Pro Cape Town 2012

Yesterday was the first ever Surfing South Africa Women's Pro event hosted simultaneously in three cities across South Africa. The Cape Town event was held at Long Beach in relatively small conditions but the girls performed really well. Congrats to Tanika Hoffman who took out both the u20 and open women's titles! I only shot for a short while so no creative or scenic shots this time unfortunately.

New Balance Impi Challenge 2012

The annual New Balance Impi Challenge is a 12km obstacle course set out across the muddy terrain of local winefarm, Lievland, in Stellenbosch. This year's event was so much fun. Team's dress up and compete just for fun. I rate my favourite outfits this year had to be the smurfs and the cheetahs - brilliant! Check out some of my photographs from the Saturday event below.
