Dreamland

 J-Bay really is just that: dreamland. I always find it so incredibly hard to leave the place. The boyf and I took a few days off and wandered up the coast for sun, surf and shell-collecting in one of our favourite places. Lucky for us, our trip coincided with a visit from Mark Mathews and Dean 'Dingo' Morrison. It was quite a treat to watch them surf. I also spent some time shooting with local talent Matt McGillivray and Emma Smith...I'm expecting big things from these two in the future! More pics of them coming soon.

[Online Feature] Clean & Clear Dungeons

It has always been a dream of mine to shoot at Dungeons (South Africa's premiere big wave spot). Last Friday I got to tick that dream off the bucket list, and what an amazing experience it was. The waves weren't as big as everyone was expecting; regardless, I still got to see some insane surfing. Girl Power

Yesterday was National Women's Day here in South Africa. In celebration, Surfing South Africa hosted a women's only event at Muizenberg beach in Cape Town and a simultaneous event in Durban. It was a beautiful day to be on the beach. The waves were small but fun and the girls demonstrated some great surfing. The results were: Rookie Division Georgie Snaddon, u16 Tahra Uren, u20 Danielle Johnson, and open Nikita Robb. For more info and photos visit the Surfing SA website here.
